The Healing Power of Nature | Principles of Naturopathic Medicine

The second principle of Naturopathic Medicine is ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐. โฃ
While this principle is based on the idea of ๐ฉ๐ถ๐ ๐บ๐ฒ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐ ๐ป๐ฎ๐๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ฒ or the body's innate ability to heal itself, I like to think of it as a two- pronged approach to naturopathic medicine. โฃ
Our bodies are smart. They are a machine. And when they are well cared for, they will run the way we want them to. โฃ
But sometimes we need to get back to our roots. And this is where the two-pronged approach comes in. Our bodies are smart and can heal with nature. โฃ
So I like to think of this principle as including the literal healing power of nature.โฃ
Harnessing the power of nature can mean using hydrotherapy, botanicals, homeopathy and even manual therapies such as massage and adjustments!
Curious about botanicals and want a little refresher on tinctures? You can find a post about that here.
