Prevention | Principles of Naturopathic Medicine

The sixth and final principle of naturopathic medicine is ๐ฉ๐ซ๐ž๐ฏ๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง.

Prevention is the easiest form of healthcare. Itโ€™s the cheapest, the healthiest and oftentimes itโ€™s more enjoyable than treatment.

Prevention has long been discussed as the basis of medicine, but unfortunately, many health care systems are not set up for proper prevention education. .

Many NDs will focus their practise on preventing common health complaints, such as diabetes, osteoporosis, miscarriage, sports injuries, muscle pain and various other issues.

Rather than simply treating a patient for an illness, the aim with naturopathic medicine is to identify and prevent these common complaints before they manifest in a patientโ€™s symptoms.
