Unlike traditional medical programs, Naturopathic Medicial students are responsible for purchasing and maintaining their own equipment. This includes stethoscopes, special senses testing equipment, blood pressure machines (manual) and even eye and ear testing equipment.
For some practical classes we are also required to supply our own linens, pillows, towels, etc.
Littmann is the classic choice for many students studying medicine, nursing, para-medicine and even veterinary medicine. There is no going wrong with a Littmann! Other brands have been found comparable, but I haven't tried them myself. The one pictured is mine, and is a Classic III with raspberry tubing.

The Heine Gamma G7 has been my favourite purchase to date. I chose the G7 over the G5 simply because of the metal casing on the pump device. The G5 and G7 kits contains the same cuffs and are made with the same quality, but in choosing a metal case over a plastic case, I hope to use this sphygmomanometer well into the future!

I have a hodge podge collection of instruments from Amazon and my on-campus bookstore. Most of these items are relatively cheap and can be purchased in sets or multiples that you can split with friends!
Special Senses Testing Equipment
I carry my equipment to school weekly and because I want it to last, I purchased a technology organizer to store it all. It's padded, has elastics and zippers to organize and is lined with a super-soft felt. Its about the size of a lunch bag and fits well into my school bag.
